See and feel the rare and unique geothermal springs and the aquatic plants and animals that are sustained by these waters - in the dead of winter!

January Skies at Leasburg Dam
Come out and Discover the quality night sky of Leasburg Dam State Park. In addition to seeing the Milky Way, Orion and Casseiopia with your bare eyes, observe through telescopes various planets and nebulae. Look through our 16 inch research grade telescope within our observatory and ask questions of our volunteers from the Astronomical Society of Las Cruces. Dress warm and bring a folding chair. $5 per car Day Use Fee required. FREE for paid overnight campers.
