NM's African-American Legacy
Guest Speaker Brenda Ballou Dabney will help you learn about African-American presence in New Mexico from 1870-1930. Oral histories, as told by decendents of early settlers, will be shared along with books, photographs and documents. Co-sponsored by the New Mexico Humanities Council & the Department of Cultural Affairs, this program is made possible by the generous support of The Amigos de Cerrillos Hills State Park.

A'birding on a Bronco
Guest presenter Karen Herzenberg will share the life story of Florence Merriam Bailey, a pioneer in bird conservation. A field ornithologist at a time when women wore corsets and floor length skirts, she wrote eight books including Birds Through an Opera Glass (1889) and Birds of New Mexico (1928).

Amigos Art in the Park
An annual event featuring artists along the Turquoise Trail corridor. The range of work includes art cards & books, ceramics, Cerrillos turquoise, fused glass, jewelry, magnets, metal work, paintings, photography, silk scarves, T-shirts, water colors and wood art. A feast for the eyes in a country setting. Enjoy yummy baked goods by the Amigos.
