Fenton Lake State Park

Announcements

In accordance with the Public Health Order, State Parks are open to New Mexico residents only for day-use only. Visitors must present either a valid New Mexico license plate, a New Mexico driver’s license or ID card, a New Mexico vehicle registration, a federal document attesting to residency, or a military ID to be admitted to a State Park. 12/2/2020 - ongoing
Wearing a mask or cloth face covering is mandatory in public settings. Maintain social distance of 6 feet or more while recreating. Keep group size to 5 people or less. Bring hand sanitizer and additional personal protective equipment. 12/2/2020 - ongoing
No group shelter use or large organized activities. All special events are cancelled through the end of the calendar year. 12/2/2020 - ongoing
Fenton Lake State Park is open daily from 7AM to 4PM. No camping or overnight use. 12/2/2020 - ongoing
Fenton Lake State Park will be OPEN for Ice Fishing on Jan 2nd while ice conditions hold. 1/2/2021 - ongoing
DO NOT GO ONTO NORTHERN END OF LAKE. 1/2/2021 - ongoing
Current Fenton Lake ice conditions as of Jan 14th, 2021. At three feet out the ice is at 10" and at twenty feet out the ice is at 14" 1/14/2021 - ongoing
Current Fenton Lake ice conditions as of Jan 21st, 2021. At three feet out the ice is at 9" and at twenty feet out the ice is at 12" 1/21/2021 - ongoing
