El Vado Lake State Park, except for the Dam Day Use Area, is closed for the season beginning November 2, 2020. The Dam Day Use Area is open daily from 6AM – 9PM. 12/3/2020 - ongoing
El Vado Lake Surface is closed to all activity due to the formation of thin, unsafe ice. Access to the Dam Day Use Area remains open. 12/18/2020 - ongoing

Morphy Lake State Park remains closed due to construction on the DAM and within the park campground. The park will remain closed until work is complete and there is currently no set date to reopen the park. 10/16/2020 - ongoing

Santa Rosa Lake (575) 472-3110
– Santa Rosa Lake State Park will close access to its boat ramp effective immediately. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers advised that low inflow of water combined with a planned release of water from Santa Rosa has drawdown the reservoir to extremely low levels. The closure will prevent property damage during launching and loading of boats; however, the lake remains open to recreation activities to include shoreline fishing, canoeing, kayaking and other paddle craft use. 6/18/2020 - ongoing
